Rami rules
Moroccan Rami is played with two decks and four jokers. Build melds, lay them down before the others and empty your hand: the lowest total wins.
Cards and dealing
108 cards: two 52-card decks (ace, 2 to 10, jack, queen, king in 4 suits) and 4 jokers. 2 to 6 players, each for themselves.
Tallage: 14 cards each. Simple: 13 cards. One card turned face up starts the discard pile, the rest is the stock.
The dealer changes every round. They get one extra card and open: they lay if they can, then discard; the next player carries on.
Melds
Tirsi: 3 or 4 cards of the same value, all in different suits.
Suivis: at least 3 cards in a row, in the same suit. The ace goes low (A-2-3) or high (Q-K-A), never around the corner (K-A-2).
Joker: it stands for the missing card, one per meld. A meld without a joker is called clean.

A turn
1. Take: the top card of the stock, or the discard. No discard on the first round, nor when you have only one card left.
In Tallage, the discard must be useful right away: you lay it this turn.
2. Lay (optional): new melds, cards added to melds on the table (yours or the others’), or take a joker back with the real card.
3. Discard a card: your turn is over. You always keep one card to discard.
Tallage: the first lay and the bar
Your first lay is worth at least 71 points (or 51, depending on the table), counting only clean melds, with at least one clean Tirsi and one clean Suivis.
Values: 2 to 10 their value; jack, queen, king and ace 10 (the ace of an A-2-3 is worth 1).
The bar: each first lay must beat the highest one already made. Bar at 78: you need 79.
Once you have laid, on the next turns: new melds with no minimum, adding cards, taking jokers back.
Simple variant
13 cards, no 71-point lay: you finish by laying your whole hand at once (at least one clean Tirsi and one clean Suivis), then you discard the last card.
Finishing: Rami and Rami sec
Rami: your hand is empty after discarding your last card. You win the round.
Rami sec: you lay your whole hand in a single turn, before anyone has laid. Every other player pays 200.
Laying your whole hand at once needs neither the 71 points nor the bar.
Scoring
At the end of the round, everyone pays for what is left in their hand. Laid cards cost nothing: laying early protects you.
Points add up round after round. The game stops when a player reaches the target (201, 500 or 1000): the lowest total wins.
